Today is Thursday, which means it's time to take some time to appreciate our history. For this edition of TBT, we found a funny classic commercial, featuring the classic 944 Turbo, that isn't shy about calling out the competition. It gave us a good laugh, so we knew wanted to share it with you.
The ancestor of the Cayman, the 944 was introduced in 1982 and was available in coupe and convertible formats. The most powerful model was the 944 Turbo S. Manufactured from 1988 to 1991, the Turbo S featured a 247-horsepower 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine.
During its decade-long run, the 944 earned Car and Driver's 10 Best recognition four times. Production ended in 1991 when it was replaced by the 968.
