Driving with food for the holidays is necessary if you have family in another city or if you are planning to go to a holiday party where you need to bring a dish. The problem is that while traveling, there are road conditions that could make transporting your homecooked goodies difficult.
While driving to get someplace for the holidays, the conditions of the road can affect the items that you are driving in. If the road is icy and you hit a patch of ice, when the car slides, the food could slide off from the seat and onto the floor. By placing the food in the back of the vehicle inside of a box, if the box slides, the food will only spill inside of the box. If you have something that has to be kept cold, using a cooler in the trunk will help to keep the items cold while keeping it confined.
